5% Goes to AutismSpeaks!

I worked with Manhattan Childrens Center to plan their annual fundraiser event at Bryant Park Grill on June 11 and they have chosen AutismSpeaks for their 5% donation – another Event that Gives Back!

An excerpt from their website:

“Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism. Their longtime friend Bernie Marcus donated $25 million to help financially launch the organization. Since then, Autism Speaks has grown into the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. We are proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and look forward to continued successes in the years ahead.”

MCC Seeds of Hope Event!

I was thrilled when The Manhattan Childrens Center contacted me in the Spring to be their event planner for the 3rd annual fundraiser, Seeds of Hope. It was a beautiful affaire at Bryant Park Grill on June 11 and celebrated the accomplishments of Dr. Catherine Lord, Professor of Psychology and founding Director of the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain (CADB), and Ms. Tina Jackson while raising funds for future of The Manhattan Childrens Center.

We were lucky to have Amanda Drury, co-anchor of CNBC’s “Street Signs” and Dave Price, former co-host of Fox’s Good Day New York, as the event emcees.
