One of my goals for 2015 is to start taking ballet classes again (something I enjoyed and participated in for 22+ years of my) and Peridance was the school I was planning to contact. I had only been back from my “winter relocation” to Australia for a week and before I had a chance to contact Peridance about taking classes I received an email from the President of the Board asking if I could organize their 1st Annual Bazaar. I was absolutely thrilled!
The President, Paul Terlizzi, owner and CEO of American Down & Feather, lives in Denver and felt it would be a good idea to have someone local doing the planning and execution of the event. Talk about the serendipity of being contacted by the very school I wanted to start taking ballet classes at and having a client that lives in a city I have fallen in love with! We even started the conversation about Karen Brown New York organizing Denver based events for his company and I couldn’t be more excited about the prospects of expanding our client base into another state.
Sponsors for the bazaar included American Down & Feather, Capezio, The DESSERTIST and donations from current students and Board Members. The money raised from the bazaar will benefit the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company & the Peridance Youth Ensemble to further artistic growth and enable Peridance to continue to enrich the lives of children who would not otherwise be introduced to dance.
