Last night I had the honor of attending my first WeDo networking event at The Glasshouses which is located in Chelsea with amazing views of the Hudson river! I was the guest of Scott Fagan from Tip of the Tongue and Rebecca Joyce from Scratch Weddings who I met at the Scratch DJ Showcase & Happy Hour a few weeks ago. I met some really great people in the industry and can’t say enough about the delicious food provided by Tip of the Tongue!

WeDo is a wedding industry professional network focused on consistently connecting the best NYC has to offer. Monthly networking events showcasing member talents, educational workshops and a unifying website will bring us all together and in return grow our businesses.”

DJ Showcase & Happy Hour at Scratch!

Last night I attended Scratch Weddings‘ DJ Showcase and happy hour at their studio located in Cooper Square. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of great vendors from the wedding industry, including Scott Fagan from Tip of the Tongue, while sipping on a glass of crisp white wine and listening to one of the resident DJ’s spinning.

If you’re not familiar with Scratch Weddings, they are a highly trained team of professionals who are required to go through an intense 10-step screening process to ensure they have what it takes to be a wedding DJ. Founded by Rob Principe and Jam Master Jay of Run DMC in 2002, Scratch was originally started as a DJ Academy and as of today over 100,000 people have been taught how to DJ.

If you’re in search of a wedding DJ, Scratch Weddings offers couples to go to their studio to hear DJs play live so they can choose one that fits their personal style, taste and musical interests.
